Cyber Essentials is a government-backed framework and certification protecting against common cyber threats, including phishing and malware, and showing a commitment to data security and compliance, with standards like Lexcel and GDPR.
Our approach
Our Technical & Cybersecurity Director Barry Hannah began by holding an initial call with the team at Dobsons Law. During this session, he explained the certification process in detail, what would be assessed and where potential gaps in their cybersecurity may exist, so these could be rectified.
From there, our team of IT experts:
• Reviewed their current systems and device setup.
• Identified areas where improvements were needed to meet Cyber Essentials requirements.
• Introduced practical security measures and updated procedures to close compliance gaps.
• Provided guidance and support throughout the certification journey.
The solution
By working closely with Dobsons Law and understanding their specific requirements, we implemented key changes across all their devices, and policies to strengthen security and align with Cyber Essentials standards.
These adjustments included improved procedures for device management and technical security controls.
