RedDoor IT becomes a Cyber Essentials Certifier
RedDoor IT are excited to announce that we have achieved the IASME Cyber Assurance Level Two certification, which means we can assess and certify businesses as compliant for Cyber Essentials. We are committed to cybersecurity excellence within our specialist managed cyber security service division, Cyber Advisor.
We work with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to manage their Cyber Essentials certification, provide cyber security training and ongoing monthly assistance.
What does it mean to have an IASME Cyber Assurance certification?
IASME Certification Bodies are specially trained cyber security companies across the UK. We are licensed and assured by IASME to offer assessment and certification to cyber security standards including Cyber Essentials.
To achieve this certification, we passed an independent audit of our processes, procedures, and controls, conducted by a qualified IASME assessor. Passing this audit demonstrates that we have implemented effective governance, risk management, and data protection processes.
To maintain this certification, organisations must achieve Cyber Essentials – we have achieved Cyber Essentials Plus – and IASME Cyber Assurance Level Two annually, where upon expiration, a reassessment will be required.
What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed certification scheme that helps your business to guard against the most common cyber threats and, importantly, the certification demonstrates your commitment to cyber security.
What are the benefits?
In the process of achieving a Cyber Essentials certificate, your organisation is effectively protecting itself against approximately 80% of the most common cyber-attacks.
This provides reassurance to your clients that you take cyber security seriously and have implemented a strong set of relevant controls and measures.
Being Cyber Essentials certified will also help you attract new business opportunities and help you satisfy public sector and Government contracts that require Cyber Essentials to be in place.
If your organisation is domiciled in the UK with a turnover under £20m, a certification scope covering the whole of your organisation is available, if you opt-in, you are entitled to Cyber Liability Insurance which gives you a £25,000 limit of indemnity (terms apply).
How do you achieve a certification?
In order to become Cyber Essentials certified, you need to first complete a self-assessment questionnaire. Organisations often struggle with the technicality of questions and identifying actions to take in order to meet the standards: this is where RedDoor IT can help.
We provide a fully managed Cyber Essentials certification, applying on your behalf, identifying any key actions your organisation needs to take and implementing these for you.
